Women You Should Know: Meet Kristen Conrady

Arts Council Wichita Falls Area, Inc.
Kristen Conrady

I grew up in Windthorst, TX, in a dairy farming household, where I learned what hard work really was. Good design and art appreciation were learned from two of the most influential women in my life: my mom, Karen Stamper, and my aunt, Becky Lindemann. I graduated college from Texas Tech University with a degree in Apparel Design and moved to New York City to work for a prominent fashion designer. Life took a few adventurous detours, including moves to Austin, TX and Colorado Springs and Fort Collins, CO, where I learned more about working in the art industry. “Home is home”, however, and I came back to plant roots in Wichita Falls in 2016. Being back has brought me numerous blessings and opportunities that I wouldn’t have found anywhere else.

The Arts Council WF began in 1994, and it’s mission from the beginning has been to encourage the arts and arts education throughout our local and regional community, while providing arts programming to those who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity.

My hope for the future of the Arts Council WF is to keep expanding our reach within the community and to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

Trust the timing of your life.
